Journey to the Underworld Trip#14

Disclaimer:
I am layman Buddhist/pagan.
The summary is based on what I perceive is 'important' in the book.
If there is contradiction of meaning convey, the book prevails.
There are times I might questioning parts of the points inside the book doesn't mean I don't believe it. I need enlightenment on the doubts that I raise.

VISIT TO THE PRISON OF ICE

Stretch of wilderness, no sign of life, no fresh and green trees, just a few branches in expense of whiteness. Barren, throughout the year snow falls.

A row of cells built of wood and painted black. On the roof is the immaculate white of snowflakes. In front, two stakes support a board with this inscription “Prison of Ice”. Opposite the prison, A narrow alley that joins with the cells.

No enclosure/furniture. Not necessary because it is cold and limbs of souls are numbed that the souls hardly move or escape.

The Prison of Ice is located between two mountains. In the background, there are lakes which look like swimming pools stretching long distance. In the lakes, many young men and women are seen in underwear, the lower part of their bodies immersed and hidden by ice. One and all, they look blue with cold, their lips are black, their arms trembling. They have neither strength left for crying, nor for groaning.
